Yale 是個(gè)很簡(jiǎn)單的小工具，主要功能是讓我們?cè)谧烂嬗蚁陆堑南到y(tǒng)列上方顯示一個(gè)小小窗口，實(shí)時(shí)監(jiān)控目前的網(wǎng)絡(luò)上傳、下載流量，并可顯示硬盤存取的吞吐量與 CPU 的實(shí)時(shí)負(fù)載。如果你有用自己的計(jì)算機(jī)架站或常常用來大量下載文件或 P2P，可以透過這個(gè)小工具得知目前計(jì)算機(jī)與網(wǎng)絡(luò)的運(yùn)作狀態(tài)，避免某些程序太耗資源或占用太多流量而造成其他軟件或工作的正常運(yùn)作。
Yale 可以支持計(jì)算機(jī)中全部的網(wǎng)絡(luò)聯(lián)機(jī)裝置（如果你有安裝多張網(wǎng)絡(luò)卡或虛擬網(wǎng)卡的話），監(jiān)控流量時(shí)亦可依照不同通訊協(xié)議顯示個(gè)別的網(wǎng)絡(luò)帶寬占用數(shù)字。譬如說它會(huì)把 HTTP、HTTPS、SSH、FTP 或 Shared Network Folder（局域網(wǎng)絡(luò)共享文件夾）...等不同網(wǎng)絡(luò)聯(lián)機(jī)方式的帶寬占用量分別標(biāo)示，讓我們輕松得知到底是什么東西吃掉網(wǎng)絡(luò)帶寬。
Yale is an application that lets you see the network adaptor usage.
The window shows the bandwidth usage of all network adapters. Separated into up and down link. Additional the cpu usage and disk transfer rate is shown.
You can click onto the network adapter entries. This will expand them and show you the bandwidth for every used protocol.
You can place a 'port-numbers.txt' file into the same directory as 'Yale.exe' to extent the know protocols. The format is the usual rfc format.
Please note that a expanded network adapter reduces your network speed since every network packet is parsed by Yale.
